Bridger wins a Major!

I neglected to report Bridger, Glacier Creek's Mountain Man, won his first major in Ventura by going Best of Winners over the girls. Judge was Karen McFarlane.

Tezla wins the group in Texas!

Just when you are resigned to the fact she may be the "Cut Queen" on a circuit (she made the cut under Alvin Krause on Friday, but a Group 3 at the Texas Working Group show under Jan Sigler on Wednesday) she pulls off a GROUP 1! Charles Trotter awarded her the Group 1, at one of the biggest, most political shows of the year. (400 working dogs entered). Great job, Monica and Tezla!

New champions to report

Down in Ventura, Giselle, Glacier Creek's Wind in the Willows, achieved her championship from the bred-by class. What makes this especially noteworthy is that Giselle was in the hospital with parvo less than a year ago, not expected to make it. She has turned into a very sweet, elegant young girl. Nonami acheived her Grand Championship and she also had parvo a year ago. Her brother didn't make it so again this achievement is so heart warming. After all the scares and the warnings about vaccines, I was trying a more holistic approach with fewer puppy shots. I won't do that again! I must have picked up parvo on the tires of my van or coyotes brought it across my property since the pups hadn't been anywhere. Four came down with it, three lived. Who knows what Titan could have achieved? I am just happy I saved the ones I did and they are healthy, happy and seem to have no lasting effects. This is one tough breed!
